HISTORY

The notion of establishing a private college in Gezira state started in 2008but became a reality in 2012.
The college started with 2 programs, bachelor of Medicine and bachelor of Nursing, an idea from our sincere intention to keep pace with all technical and qualitative needs,
aspiration and development of health sector. Therefor we aim to graduate personnel and specialists who enjoy excellent knowledge and skills to serve our community.
In 2013 a bachelor of medical laboratories and information technology programs were established. In 2014 and 2016 a bachelor of Management Sceinces and pharmacy programs were inaucrated.
MST College Upgrades to wadmedani university in 14th Aug 2024 by The ministry of Heigher education.

Introduction

Wad Medani University, previously known as Wad Medani College for Medical Sciences and Technology, was established in 2011, with academic activities commencing in 2012. The college was upgraded to full university status in 2023. The founders are a group of experienced medical doctors, many of whom had a long experience in teaching in national and international medical schools.. Their extensive experience in medical education, administration, and curriculum development has shaped WMU into a dynamic institution committed to innovation and quality. The University comprises six faculties:
